· Dice game – Craps
There are dozens of dice games that are played worldwide. As a matter of fact, if you turn the pages of history you would find different types of games that were played in different parts and in different civilizations. So for centuries there have been different types of dice games that have entertained humans.
One such popular dice game that is played in casinos all over the world is Craps. Craps is a game that can be played against other players or the bank or casinos. In the betting game of craps the betting is done on the dice rolls. Every player gets turns to roll the two dice. There are rounds in this game and the first roll of the new round is termed as come-out roll.
Now as a player if you wish to join the craps table you need to bet the table minimum. This bet either has to be the pass line bet or the “don’t pass” line bet. 
The pass line bet and the “don’t pass” the line bet are the types of wagers in the game of craps. Let us see what the pass line bets in craps mean. 
· The pass line bet
The player if he wants to be a shooter and wants to shoot he has to put a bet on either of the two line bets the pass line bet or don’t pass bet. Pass line bet is the basic type of betting done in craps. In some parts of the world the pass line bet in craps is also called the win line.
The pass line bet is the bet one type of craps bet which is played more number of times than any other bets in craps. When a bet is placed in the inside area of the table it is called the pass line bet. The player needs to place his chips in the area which is called the pass line area which is the edge line of the table. 
Now in the come-out roll the dice rolls out as a 7 or 11 then the pass line bet is immediately won. But if the dice rolls out on a 2, 3 or 12 then the bet is lost and is normally referred to as crapping out. Then if the dice rolls out to any other number besides these then there is a point set at that number. If this point is rolled out again before the dice rolls out on 7 then the pass line bet is won. And if 7 gets rolled out on dice before the point set number is rolled out then the bet is lost and is referred to as seven out.
Once the player wins, he then gets a chance of continuing as the shooter and can keep throwing the dice and can discontinue the shooter’s job at his/her own will. But, in case you lose the pass line bet then you need to pass the dice to the next player and thus other players also get the opportunity to throw dice and become the shooter.

 
The don’t pass bet – from the betting game craps

One such game which has a combination of betting and playing with dice is Craps. The betting is of course done on the numbers and then matched with the numbers that are rolled out by the dices. Craps is a betting game where in players can either bet money or wager money against each other or the bank or the casino.
Now, there are many types of bets that can be put by players while playing craps. The bets are like odds bet, proposition bet, field bet, big 6 & big 8, place number bet, 10 – 4 press bet, hop bet, horn bet, world bet etc. But the majorly used bets are the pass line bets, and the don’t pass bet.
The different types of wagers are optional. Some casinos might not put all of them but these two bets pass line bets and the don’t pass bets are always there in the game of craps.
Don’t pass bet is a bet that can be placed by any player. To understand don’t pass bet better lets understand how a bet is placed. 
· Betting in craps
A bet can be either placed by the shooter or by the other players on the numbers or on the odds. Normally when you place a bet as a player you would place it on the number that you might expect to come up after the dice gets rolled. Now imagine if you placed a bet the other way round then it will be called as don’t pass bet.
The craps standard layout table has marking done for the area where the don’t pass bet can be placed. The player needs to put his chips in the don’t pass bet area to confirm that the bet is placed.
The don’t pass bet is lost if the dice rolls out on 7 or 11. If the dice rolls out numbers 2 or 3(can vary with different casino rules) then the player who has placed don’t pass bet wins. Now if the number rolled out is not of the above numbers then a point is set on the number.
Don’t pass bet also can be placed on this point saying that the point would not be rolled out. Rather the don’t pass bet is lost if the point is rolled out again. Similarly, if the point is not established and if 7 is rolled out before that then the don’t pass bet is won. 
It basically means that the don’t pass bet is exactly opposite of the pass line bet. The don’t pass bet is also referred to as a wrong bet because of the way the bet is it goes against the shooter which gives the game a negative approach.
